Hi Gravesiders!

The Mutant's interview with NVF magazine is now online if you'd like to take a peek and see what a geek I am.

That was a great interview.  :woot
Turns out we both kind of started out the same way. I had hundreds of comic book characters drawn by the time I was sixteen, but the writing never stopped when the drawing did. Did you find that drawing was more of a stress relief than something you derived pleasure from or prided yourself on? I never really cared about my art like I cared about a well-crafted story.
I never fear killing off a character I love. Everyday people watch the ones they love die. It hurts a reader to have a character they have learned to love die right there in their hands and no amount of whiteout will change that. A reality check like that makes all the fiction stuff seem all the more plausible. When I sat with my mother as she died I realized how true these words were. The best thing about fiction is that you can always pick up the book again and read life back into the characters you loved. Unlike life, people in books never truly die forever.

Hey Brandon,
I pretty much drew just for the fun of it, and to flesh out all the various characters screaming to get out of my head. But, yes, drawing also acted as way to work out various emotions at times. Same for the writing.

If you get a chance, post some of your drawings. I'd love to see'em!
