Dale - I've had serious issues with Ning for a while. I don't know what it was, but it locks up the browser, even after a fresh install of SeaMonkey. ZoneAlarm goes nuts, too. That's part of the reason I as much as ditched SPP. :(

The problem I am guessing lies in the ZoneAlarm settings.  I will see if I can dig anything up and let you know.  I have never had any problems.  Yeah I had wished you guys would have been able to send them our way  :blob1

FYI.  My ZoneAlarm is fine with it; I just have all the fancy arse JavaScript and ActiveX controls turned off, which makes it harder for me to surf there on this machine.  When I power up the KRAY (not really, but it sounded cool) I surf just fine on there (that's 'cause that one's a Mac).

If it's not ZA than I would suggest trying to surf it using IE.  If it works fine than it's an issue with Sea Monley.  Personally I use Orca Browser (the FASTEST browser available which is built on the Gecko Engine) and the only problem I get is a script issue.  I tell it to continue a couple of times and it's fine.  It because Orca is an RC3 and needs to be upgraded.

Thanks, Dale and ZZ - I'll check it out in IE... I make the girls use IE exclusively so they don't bugger up my settings on SM. hehehe

;) Dale - I use SeaMonkey because I wanted the whole package, email client included. I'm a sad-old-n00b, really. I have it set to look like N4.1, which was the second Netscape install I had not long after we finally got on the 'net, 9 years ago.  :crazy

I would interested in hearing what you find Jodi.  I remember when Firefox first came out.  Tried it and hated it.  I started running shell clients which ran on top of IE.  If I had to pick browsers I would say Firefox or Flock (geared towards Social Networks but runs on the same engine as Firefox).  I use Thunderbird email client and to be honest I do not know how I survived without it since I was an Outlook Express user.

It seems to be loading just fine (new IE too, apparently the girls updated when I wasn't looking..LOL) and I'm browsing through a heck of a lot faster than I've done at other networks. I may have to start blogging there, too... ;)

Glad to hear it.  I would really like to build that site up.  I thought it would be a great place for authors and fans to interact or even practice their writing/marketing skills.

Perhaps you could resurrect the small press horror award idea?

We just may have to do that just as long as nobody tries to name it the Hertzan Chimera.

Ah, so I finally signed up and  must say, it was quite fun.  Make sure you all swing by there and check it out.

The page gave me the opportunity to do this kinda cool idea for a blog I've been tinkering with but never wanted to actually go through with.  The blog would have been called "What Ghosts Listen To" and would be music videos with a WTF, creepy kinda vibe.  WGLT #1 is already posted on my page and I've sent quite a few of you friend requests.

So thanks GST guys...one more outlet in which to waste my working hours.

Missed this. I think I have a mental block to anything that says Hertzan. Probably a good thing.

This might be a stupid question but
What does "Hertzan" mean anyway?
