last time I sent to Cemetery Dance it took about 4 months to get a response. Is that about where you're at?

Three months. I read that it could take longer, but by better-half kept telling me that the envelope was so they could let me know they got it. Being that plenty of publications don't give me a heads up in that area, I was inclined to disagree.

Yup the envelope is definitely for the rejection (or maybe even the acceptance!!)  Fingers crossed...

Last time I subbed to them I think it took about four months to hear back, too...

I balance every acceptance with rejections. I figure so long as I'm getting three rejections per acceptance I should be able to keep from suffering cranial rectal reversal. Print out the acceptances, print out the rejections. Put them side by side on a cork board.

You just got to take success one day at a time. take it from me. i've made billions on my short stories, and i'm still down to earth. you need a cool car though, a coffee pot that has a timer on it, and a hot maid that doesn't know anything about cleaning house. But other than that, just keep it slow and easy.

I got a rejection from Permuted Press' Giant Creatures not too long ago, but Ryan was VERY helpful with what didn't work for him. The story is MUCH better now. Now I'm waiting to hear back from Post Scripts Magazine on my story.

Granted, I haven't been submitting stories for that long. Still, I feel confident saying that people like Ryan are angels sent from Heaven to give writers second chances.
